International Orders: Customs, Duties and Taxes
Customs duties, import taxes and local charges may apply when an order is shipped from one country to another.
Not all orders are international deliveries. Whether customs charges apply depends on where your order ships from and where it is being delivered.
Check Your Shipping Method at Checkout
Where possible, your shipping method at checkout will indicate whether your order is being shipped domestically or internationally.
For example:
Domestic UK Delivery
Your order is shipping from our UK warehouse to a UK address. No import duties or customs charges apply.
International Delivery from the UK
Your order is shipping from our UK warehouse to an address outside the UK. Customs duties, import taxes or local charges may apply when the order arrives in the destination country.
US Domestic Delivery
Your order is shipping from our US warehouse to a US address. No import duties or customs charges apply.
International Delivery from the US
Your order is shipping from our US warehouse to an address outside the US. Customs duties, import taxes or local charges may apply when the order arrives in the destination country.
If your shipping method says International Delivery, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes or customs charges on arrival.
Where Your Order Ships From
We fulfil orders from more than one location, and not every product is available from every warehouse.
Whether customs charges apply depends on both:
- where your order is shipped from; and
- where it is being delivered.
If your order is shipped domestically, import customs charges should not apply. If your order crosses a border, customs charges may apply.
Customs Fees and Additional Charges
Customs duties, import taxes and local charges are set by the customs authority in the destination country. They are not included in the product prices or delivery costs shown at checkout.
Any applicable fees must be paid by you, the recipient, before the order can be delivered.
Customs clearance procedures vary by country and can sometimes cause delays. We are unable to control these processes or accept responsibility for additional charges or delays caused by customs authorities.
How Import Duties Are Calculated
Customs authorities usually calculate import duties and taxes based on factors such as:
- the type of product being imported;
- the materials used to manufacture it;
- the country where the item was manufactured;
- the value of the order; and
- the rules in the destination country.
Import duties are not simply based on the country the parcel is shipped from.
Helpful Tips Before Ordering
Before placing your order, please check the shipping method shown at checkout.
If your shipping method says Domestic Delivery, import duties should not apply.
If your shipping method says International Delivery, customs fees, import taxes or local charges may apply when the order arrives in your country.
Higher-value orders are more likely to incur charges. You may also wish to use an online duty calculator for an approximate estimate.

Returns and Refused Deliveries
If you return an item that was subject to customs duties or import taxes, we are not able to refund those charges, as they are collected by your local customs authority and not by us.
If customs fees are refused at the point of delivery, your order may be returned to us. In this case, shipping costs will not be refunded.
