Unfurl expansive polycyclic patterns with Metagrid, generate longform evolving sequences using Metaloom, juggle complex rhythms with Rematrix, and transform visual noise into dynamic polyphonic or melodic gestures with Scantron.
Then reshape MIDI with eight transformation tools. Collapse polyphonic material into focused monophonic patterns with a variety of algorithms using Monotizer, while Multiswap and Paraswap offer intricate probabilistic pitch and parameter remapping.
Use Quantographer to devise unusual grooves. Redefine expressive ranges with Refractor. Quickly convert mismatched pitch and velocity maps with Replacer. Generate controlled randomization and phrased variations at musical intervals via Seeker, and use Teleport to probabilistically relocate notes across a clip based on pitch, velocity, and timing.
All MIDI Tools are scale-aware and Info View annotated, delivering precision and depth for forward-thinking workflows.

Format, Version & System Requirements
Ableton Live 12.1.x running Max for Live 9.x on Mac or PC.
Where should I install my MIDI Tools?
Your Live 12 User Library should include a folder called MIDI Tools, and that’s the best spot to store them. If you don’t see that folder there by default, no worries — you can manually add it yourself.
Once the MIDI Tools are in there, give Live a minute or so to detect them. After a minute or so, they should appear in the corresponding MIDI Tool panel of Live’s MIDI clip note editor.
Please note: MIDI Tools are not the same as devices: they work directly in the note editor and cannot be dragged onto tracks like devices can.
