Turn your PS5, Xbox or any gamepad into a MIDI controller for any DAW, with no new hardware required.

PadMap is a standalone desktop app for Windows and macOS that maps every button, trigger and stick on a game controller to MIDI notes or CC. Connect a PlayStation, Xbox or generic gamepad over USB or Bluetooth and start playing in minutes. On PS4 and PS5 pads, the gyro and touchpad can be mapped too.

PadMap creates its own MIDI device, so Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Bitwig Studio, Cubase, REAPER, Traktor, rekordbox, TouchDesigner or anything else that takes MIDI input sees a controller. There are no plugins to load and nothing to configure inside your DAW beyond selecting the port.

Tilt the pad to sweep a filter, use the touchpad as an XY pad, or bend pitch with a stick. Add expressive, hands-on movement to productions and DJ sets with a controller you already own. PadMap runs quietly in the background while you play.

Layers stack several mappings on one pad, and any control can act as a modifier that switches between them. One controller can become a drum pad in one layer, a macro surface in the next, and a transport controller in the third. On supported controllers, the light bar colour-matches the active mapping so you always know which layer you’re on, and rumble confirms each press.

PadMap is for producers and DJs who want hands-on control without buying new hardware. The controller most people already own is enough to start.

Windows Users
Windows requires the free loopMIDI driver for the MIDI port. macOS needs nothing extra.

• Requires: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), or macOS 10.14 or later (Intel and Apple Silicon). Any DAW or software that accepts MIDI input. A compatible game controller (not included). One internet connection to activate, then it runs offline.
• Includes: One PadMap licence covering Windows and macOS, for up to 3 of your own computers. Windows .exe installer (4.4 MB) and macOS .dmg installer (13.3 MB, signed and notarised). All future updates, installed from inside the app. Online setup guides.
